Runout Records is an independent record shop at 212 Eleanor Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. This policy explains what the Runout Records app ("the app") collects, why, and what you can do about it. We wrote it to match exactly what the app does.
What we collect and why

All of this data is used only to provide the app's features ("App Functionality"). It is linked to you so the shop can serve you, and it is never used for tracking.
What stays on your phone
Saved records, your digger rank and etchings, day streak, theme, sound and haptic settings, and cached copies of the shop catalogue are stored only on your device. Deleting the app or using Settings → Reset app data removes them.
Camera and photo library
The app asks for camera access only when you tap Take photo in a trade-in request, and uses the system photo picker when you tap From library. Only the photos you choose are uploaded, and only to Runout Records. We delete trade-in photos 60 days after the quote expires.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app sends hold, crate, booth and trade-in status updates, wantlist pings when a matching record is priced, and gig reminders. Each type can be turned off in Settings. Notifications are scheduled on your device; we do not use them for marketing.
Accounts and sign-in
An account is optional. Sign-in happens on our own page at runout-records.online inside the app. We store your name, email and a salted hash of your password. A session token is kept in your device's Keychain. Signing out deletes the session on your phone and on our server.
Payments
The app never takes payment and never asks for card details. Holds, crates and booth sessions are paid in person at the counter; trade-ins are settled in person.
Sharing
We don't sell or rent personal data and don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. Our server is hosted by a hosting provider that processes data on our behalf only. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Retention
Order records are kept for 24 months for the shop's bookkeeping, then deleted. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Trade-in photos are deleted 60 days after the quote expires.
Your choices and rights
You can use the app without an account, leave the phone field empty, and turn off notifications at any time. To see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, email [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have the right to know, correct and delete their personal information, and we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
Children
The app is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
